Both of these new models are high quality devices with an impressive variety of features and functions.

Featuring a main display that folds out like a tablet, the screen can be viewed as one seamless surface for enhanced entertainment or split in two for effective multi-tasking. However you may be using the device, it folds up to fit easily in your pocket for convenient portability.
Galaxy Z Fold3 Design
The design of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 is much like its predecessor, featuring a book-like design that folds out for ample screen space. However, this model is much more durable than the Fold2 with extra precautions taken to protect against dirt, dust, and liquids.
Sweeping Hinge
The hinge mechanism that allows you to unfold the unit has been fitted with small nylon fibres that provide a sweeping motion when the device is folded or unfolded. This works to prevent small particles from getting under the display. Upgrades have also been made to ensure the internal components are protected against particulates and liquids.
Water Resistance
The Samsung Galaxy X Fold3 has been given a water resistance rating of IPX8, which means it is capable of withstanding being submerged in water 1.5 meters deep for up to 30 minutes. However, these are extreme parameters and the device should be treated as water-resistant rather than waterproof.
Display
The unfolded display of the Galaxy Z Fold3 measures in at a whopping 7.6”, making it the largest smartphone display available in the current market. The folded display measures 6.2” for more comfortable one-hand control. The AMOLED display offers sharp and bright images with 120Hz screen refresh and Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
Galaxy Z Flip3 Design & Display
Experts and reviewers are basically all in agreement that the Flip3 is unparalleled when it comes to clamshell-style foldable smartphones. The compact design is easily portable and durable for activity on the go. It unfolds to reveal an ample 6.7” AMOLED display with a 120Hz screen refresh rate.
The Galaxy Z Flip3 also features IPX8 water resistance and Corning Gorilla Glass protection making it a durable foldable device.
Cameras
If camera quality is of utmost importance to your smartphone preferences, then the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 & Flip3 may not be your first choice. Don’t get me wrong, the cameras on these devices are excellent but if you are paying top dollar for camera specs other devices may be more practical. That said, the Galaxy Fold3 features a 10MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture. It also features 3 rear cameras, with a wide lens, ultra-wide lens, and a telephoto lens. The Flip3 offers similar camera specs with the omission of the rear telephoto lens camera which is not available on the device.
Both devices are capable of capturing crisp and vibrant images. The telephoto and ultra-wide lenses have been upgraded with optical image stabilization to reduce jitter and blur. The telephoto lens also offers 2x optical zoom.
S Pen Compatibility – Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3
Another useful feature of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 is the S Pen support it offers. Since this device is the unofficial replacement for the Samsung Note 21 Ultra, it makes sense that it would have S Pen capability. The Galaxy Z Fold3 is actually compatible with multiple S Pens. It works with the S Pen Pro and the S Pen Fold, which was designed for use with the Fold3 smartphone. Both pens feature safety measures that prevent too much pressure from being applied to the screen and causing damage to the device.
Versatile Positioning – Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3
While the Galaxy Fold3 really only has two possible positions, folded and unfolded, the Flip3 can be positioned at a variety of angles. When you unfold the Flip3 to any degree, the device stays virtually locked in that position for varying functionality. This gives the Galaxy Z Flip3 excellent stability when sitting upright on a counter or table. This feature is extremely practical for video chats and selfies.
